Telea Erkoceviq was born in Bundaberg, Queensland in 1981. She has also lived in Brisbane and London before returning to her home town of Bundaberg where she resides with her husband and two young children. Art has always been a passion for Telea who has taught Visual Art both in Australia and in the United Kingdom since graduating from a Bachelor of Education majoring in Visual Art in 2002.
“The artistic process is the endless pursuit of splendour. A blank wall evokes an overwhelming desire to create something of beauty to complement the surroundings. When a person welcomes a work of art into their home it becomes a part of them, since the home is a visual representation of personality, memory, emotion. It is my desire to create art that consistently engages attention and becomes a part of the unique personality of each viewer. “
Telea enjoys the creative process, working in a variety of styles from realistic natural sketches to contemporary abstracts.”I love to express myself through the simplicity of colour, shape and texture. Yet I also love to capture the exquisite individuality of pattern and design in nature through realistic representations.” Telea has mastered a variety of media but especially enjoys sourcing everyday materials to create her mixed media works. Her work has been collected by a number of clients within Australia and also adorns homes in the United Kingdom.
Thank you for being a part of my journey.
